ACO do not offer a corner unit for use with our RainDrain channel, but it’s still possible to accommodate a 90° angle or a bend using RainDrain.
90° Connection
To form a 90° angle you need to mitre cut both adjoining channels to a 45° angle and “butt” them together for a watertight connection please use a suitable sealant. ACO do not recommend cutting the gratings at an angle, as shown below the gratings should be installed to form a “Tee” joint. Any cut ends of gratings should be sealed with Galvafroid or a similar zinc rich paint to prevent corrosion.
Tight Bends/Curves
Exactly the same process as above, with the addition of mitre cutting the gratings to suit the required angle.
ACO do not recommend to installation of cut/mitred gratings in areas subject to vehicular traffic.
