Any of the gratings shown in the MultiDrain product brochure with a “padlock” symbol can be security locked in placed with the addition of a “Drainlock” security locking assembly. MultiDrain M100D gratings are supplied as standard with our Drainlock mechanism, which simply clips into the channel edge rail for rapid installation. Once installed the gratings can still be removed by applying an amount of force, which will force the Drainlock clip to contract, allowing the grating to be removed. To prevent this ACO recommend using an additional Drainlock security locking assembly (23415 for M100D). When installed it becomes impossible to remove the grating without using a Drainlock security allen key (23416).
Security Locking
In areas such as schools and prisons, where unwanted grating removal needs to be restricted, a security locking can be used in conjunction with the following gratings; and options are available for most styles of galvanised and stainless steel grates The system is fitted to the gratings by one or two M5/M6 screws and clamps the grating in place preventing removal. Security locking key for installation and removal supplied separately.
The locking assembly detailed above works in conjunction with the following gratings, 522DL C250 black composite Heelguard, 23405DL D400 ductile iron Heelguard, 23409DL D400 ATec coated ductile iron Heelguard and 23417DL D400 ATec coated ductile iron Mosaic.
Please note ACO also offer a version of the Drainlock security locking assembly for use with specific MultiDrain M150D (23165) and M200D (23225) gratings.
ACO also offer some alternative locking assemblies for use with different styles of MultiDrain M100D gratings, please refer to the MultiDrain product brochure for further details.
