Bat Box - Maintenance Requirements

For ease of inspection and cleaning, the front plate of the Bat Box is completely removable. 

It is crucial to be aware that all bat species in Britain are protected, and any inspection or cleaning of Bat Boxes must only be undertaken by a suitably licensed person in accordance with the requirements of The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017.

Bat Boxes can sometimes be occupied all year round by both roosting and hibernating bats.
