How to Turn a Corner or create a Tee Joint with MultiDrain

ACO do not offer a corner unit for use with our MultiDrain channel, but by utilising a junction channel it is possible to create either a 90° angle or a “Tee” joint.

Junction Channel

90° Connection

By utilising one of the side knock-out options on the junction channel you can “butt” another MultiDrain channel of the same depth to the junction channel at 90°, this joint would need sealed using an appropriate sealant such as, Sikaflex 11FC or Geocel 945. An additional multifunctional end cap would also be required to “close” the open end of the junction where the angle has been made.

Tee Joint

By utilising the side knock-outs on both sides of the junction you can “butt” additional MultiDrain channels of the same depth to either side of the junction channel at 90° to form a “Tee” joint. Both these joints would need to be sealed using an appropriate sealant such as, Sikaflex 11FC or Geocel 945. An additional multifunctional end cap would also be required to “close” the open end of the junction channel where the “Tee” joint has been formed.
