ACO KerbDrain range includes three different styles of centre stone:
- Flush Drainable
- Perforated
- Blind
All ACO KerbDrain centre stones have a “half battered” profile.
Flush Drainable:
Refers to a centre stone with an upstand height of 0-6mm normally specified for installation at pedestrian crossing points. The centre stone has 8mm wide slots in the top of the unit, which conform to our Heelguard specification and allows rainwater to enter into the top of the unit. Flush Drainable centre stones would normally be installed in conjunction with Flush Drainable drop kerb units.
Perforated:
Refers to a centre stone with an upstand height of 25mm normally specified for installation at vehicular entrances (driveways). The centre stone has 4 x 38mm diameter inlets per metre within the half battered profile to accept rainwater. In areas subject to pedestrian traffic ACO would advise installing stainless steel Heelguard inserts (4997). Perforated centre stones would normally be installed in conjunction with standard drop kerb units.
Blind:
Refers to a centre stone with an upstand height of 25mm normally specified for installation at vehicular entrances (driveways). The centre stone does not accept rainwater and simply guides the water to the next available inlet. Blind centre stones would normally be installed in conjunction with standard drop kerbs.
Please note, the length of centre stones varies dependent of the depth of the unit, however the two standard lengths are 915mm and 1000mm. Within the HB305 range only ACO also offer a 496/484mm long flush drainable centre stone for 6m external radius installations.
