How to Install S Range

Please refer to the attached ACO installation drawing number 22284.

To achieve a F900 load classification the S Range channel should be laid into a concrete surround (minimum strength C20/25) with minimum thickness of 200mm x the full height of the channel less the “Y2” dimension (35mm maximum thickness of asphalt) if applicable.

The S Range channel should be installed 3-6mm lower than the surrounding surface finish.

The polymer modified mortar referred to is readily available from most builder’s merchants, but this can be a standard sand and cement mix with a “SBR” additive.

The “Y” dimension referred to below indicates the full height of the channel.

For a watertight installation please use an appropriate sealant such as Sikaflex 11FC or Geocel 945 or similar to seal each joint between channel sections.
